What requirements does the hospital demand from its doctors?

The staff at Hospital del Prado has every certification required by the government. All certifications from our doctors can be available to you upon request. Our primary goal is to maintain a highly trained medical staff to guarantee our patients well being.

Does Hospital Del Prado have the required licenses to operate as a healthcare center?

We thrive as an impeccable reputation healthcare center. Our medical unit has all the certifications required by the government. We were also subjected to a certification of excellence, one that is not a requirement by law but was given to Hospital del Prado by the Health Secretary in Mexico after a long and rigorous process. It is the only hospital in Tijuana that carries such certification.

Do I need a VISA or a similar official document for my entry to Mexico?

A medical document attesting your visit to Mexican country could come in handy under any circumstances, but no VISA is needed for your visit to this side of the border. If you enter as a pedestrian, you might need an entry permit, but please consider that this is merely protocol and will not be an obstacle for your trip to the city of Tijuana. More over Del Prado Hospital is happy to offer private transport services at an additional cost to and from the united states.

Does Hospital del Prado provide transportation shuttles leaving from the San Diego area towards the Hospital?

Yes, shuttles can be arranged from any location within the San Diego Area or the Tijuana International Airport to Hospital del Prado.

Regarding border crossing from Mexico to San Diego, what’s the average crossover time at the border?

Another of our many benefits at Hospital del Prado is that all of our patients can be provided with a special medical pass that guarantees less than a thirty minute wait at the border.

Once my procedure has been schedule, where should i head to?

Ideally 2 hours prior to your scheduled procedure, the staff at HDP will proceed with your preoperative preps within the comfort of your previously assigned personal suite.

What are some of the Hospital’s amenities?

For your comfort, a cafeteria is available to you on a daily basis from 8 AM until 5 PM. We have a beautiful chapel at your disposal 24 hours a day and a pharmacy within the Hospital del Prado installations where you can stock up on your needed medications. Pathology labs are also available for analysis needed, and emergency units are at your service at any time of day. Pathology and clinical and imagenology labs service 24 hours a day.

CECUT, Tijuana's cultural center, has a beautiful variety of expos and shows that enrich the city’s cultural patrimony. The Baja Med regional gastronomy has enlisted us as one of the top countries in the culinary world.
